ALLEN PARK -- Second-year Detroit Lions running back Sione Vaki exited Monday’s practice early with what team officials are calling a leg injury.

British and Irish Lions head coach Andy Farrell has allayed fears over Marcus Smith ’s availability for the second Test against Australia after confirming that the playmaker had passed his head injury assessment (HIA).

Lions coach Dan Campbell said that Anzalone performed well on his conditioning test and refuses to believe that the linebacker is holding in. The fifth-year coach stated that his defensive captain has been sidelined with a hamstring injury to this point in camp.

"I’ve got a little thing on my board, ‘You can’t let anything sway your identity or what you want to become. You can’t let the fear of injury change the way you prepare.’"

Detroit Lions cornerback Ennis Rakestraw avoided a worst-case scenario after leaving the practice field Sunday with a chest injury.
