The Nintendo Switch 2 arrives on June 5 with nearly full backward compatibility—but not every title makes the cut. Here's what works, what doesn't, and what's being patched.

The user who will host the GameShare session should select “Resume 2P” on the title screen or “Two Players” on the Pause menu, then select “GameShare + Local Play” or “GameShare + GameChat”. Added a feature to display only favorited echoes in the list of echoes after 30 or more echoes have been learned.

Ahead of the Switch 2’s June 5 launch, Nintendo provided an update on which Switch games aren’t fully backwards compatible with the new console. The list includes several games with issues that are currently being investigated, as well as some video streaming apps.
