Kyle Isbel hit a pivotal three-run double and Vinnie Pasquantino homered as the Kansas City Royals beat Atlanta 9-6 on Tuesday night after Braves star Ronald Acuña Jr. exited with tightness in his right Achilles tendon.

Acuna missed the first chunk of the season and played in just 55 games this season. He was hitting .306 and had clubbed 14 home runs in those 55 games. In his final full game of the 2025 season, he went 2-for-4 and smacked a two-run home run, and also walked. The Braves beat the Royals 10-7 on Monday.

Kansas City has gone 26-28 at home and 52-55 overall. Royals pitchers have a collective 3.55 ERA, which ranks second in the majors. Atlanta has gone 19-34 on the road and 45-60 overall. The Braves have a 13-25 record in games decided by one run. The teams meet Tuesday for the second time this season.

Atlanta won game one of the series, 10-7 as the offense was prevalent for both teams. Kansas City is now 5-5 since the All-Star break, while Atlanta is 3-7. The win for the Braves yesterday snapped a five-game losing streak.
