IndyCar driver Colton Herta was able to walk away after suffering a massive crash in qualifying for the Indianapolis 500 during the early hours of time trials on Saturday morning. Herta's car broke loose coming out of Turn 1 on his first lap,

The 25-year-old Andretti Global driver spun in Turn 1, and the rear struck the outside wall as the car briefly became airborne.

Herta was flying through the air at noon, but his car was back on track before 5pm as Andretti mechanics scrambled to get him into qualifying
