Facing the Tigers, owners of the best record in baseball, Tanner Bibee threw seven scoreless innings and the Guardians hitters finally solved the puzzle of Jack Flaherty for an 7-7 victory at Comerica Park.

Gleyber Torres came to Detroit during the offseason, and he has been a helpful addition to the team. Early in Thursday's game, he hit a hard line drive to center field, and he came up limping on his way to first base. The ball was caught in the outfield, and Torres didn't end up going back in the game.

It’s Friday, May 23, and the Guardians (27-22) are in Detroit to take on the Tigers (33-18). Slade Cecconi is slated to take the mound for Cleveland against Jackson Jobe for Detroit.

Rookie Jackson Jobe hasn't been flawless this season, but he has been a good luck charm for the Detroit Tigers, who are undefeated in his eight starts.
