As a low-pressure storm system shifts east from West Texas, the threat of tornadoes and hail is expected to rise. Meteorologists warn of the potential for severe storms capable of producing hail ranging from pea to ping pong ball size, similar to the storms seen on Monday afternoon.

As of Tuesday morning, the local National Weather Service offices have issued a tornado watch across a large portion of the state.
