British police say a musician and friend of Chris Brown has been charged alongside the Grammy-winning singer on allegations they beat and seriously injured a music producer at a London nightclub in 2023.

Insp. Ryan Scrivens, 48, has been suspended with pay since February. On Wednesday, London police said Scrivens has been charged with assault causing bodily harm and assault.
