Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron toured the ITER thermonuclear fusion reactor facility in Saint-Paul-lès-Durance, near Marseille, on Wednesday.

Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron called for enhancing trade and investment ties between the two countries and committed to further deepening their engagement in the Indo-Pacific and various global forums and initiatives.

On his last day of France visit, PM Modi will open India's second consulate in France. This will be followed by his visit to Mazargues War Cemetery along with French President Emmanuel Macron, where he will pay homage to Indian soldiers who died in world wars.
