Spanish club Villarreal has signed midfielder Thomas Partey two days after he was granted bail on rape charges in England.

Partey is due to appear at the Old Bailey in London on Sept. 2. Villarreal have agreed to sign former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey, days after he was granted conditional bail following an appearance in court on rape and sexual assault charges in London, the club has confirmed.

Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey, facing five rape charges in England, on Thursday completed a move to Spanish club Villarreal.Overall Partey played 167 games for the club, scoring nine times.
