PITTSBURGH (AP) — Aaron Rodgers might be ready to take the practice field for the Pittsburgh Steelers. T.J. Watt is not. The star outside linebacker skipped the start of mandatory minicamp on Tuesday. Watt likely is eyeing a new deal as he enters the final year of his current contract.

Throughout his career, Watt has played in 121 games. All of those games have come with the Steelers and he has totaled 462 tackles, 108 sacks, 33 forced fumbles, 12 fumble recoveries, seven interceptions, and 50 defended passes.
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers sustained no major injuries during their mandatory minicamp process that will hurt the team during training camp on July 24th, head coach Mike Tomlin said. “No injuries worth mentioning or things that could slow down our progress in terms of reporting the football camp," Tomlin said.
News broke right before Steelers mandatory minicamp that the four-time first-team All-Pro would not be in attendance as he seeks a new contract.
