SAN FRANCISCO — Rising stars usually have to wait their turn to step on the big stage. They play on All-Star Weekend before it’s technically the weekend, a Friday night preview of future greatness from the NBA’s finest collection of precocious novices.

Lakers rookie Dalton Knecht helped his Rising Stars team do well on Friday with some highlight plays on both ends of the floor.

Stephon Castle is named the MVP and Keyonte George hits a game-winning 3-pointer against Team G League, earning a chance to face a team led by LeBron James and Steph Curry on Sunday.
