Early Wednesday morning in Europe, Toyota unveiled four new or significantly updated electric vehicles — and Lexus managed to sneak one in, too. Even more enticing than the new product, though, was the teaser that came along with it: a shadowy image that previewed an upcoming electric pickup truck and electric Land Cruiser-esque EV while suggesting both would be revealed by the end of 2026.

Toyota has strengthened its C-HR lineup with the introduction of this ‘C-HR+’ version, which is set to land in the UK towards the end of 2025 as the all-electric alternative to the standard hybrid.

Toyota will expand its electric vehicle range with its new C-HR+ SUV before the end of 2025. Building on the coupe-SUV styling of the conventional C-HR, the C-HR+ introduces a dedicated battery-electric powertrain, offering a choice of two battery capacities and front- or all-wheel drive configurations.

Some of the new Toyota EVs resemble ones shown off by then-CEO, now Chairman Akio Toyoda in late 2021. That leads us to believe it could be the truck revealed at that press briefing, which is very obviously an electric Tacoma. The only issue is that its proportions don't exactly match what's seen in the teaser image.
