The National Hurricane Center has officially upgraded Tropical Depression Two to Tropical Storm Barry as of the 11 a.m. Sunday update.

Tropical Storm Barry formed Sunday afternoon in the eastern Gulf. It is the second named storm in the Atlantic basin. Barry is a weak tropical storm with maximum winds at 45 mph. Barry will continue to move northwest, likely making landfall overnight Sunday near Tampico, Mexico.
