Oscar Mayer’s iconic Wienermobile fleet will be “hot dogging" it later this week at the inaugural "Wienie 500."

This first-ever “meat-up” of these wieners-on-wheels will take place on Friday, May 23 ahead of the actual Indy 500, and will be streamed live on social media and then with highlights presented on the pre-race show on Sunday. They’ll also be part of the 500 Festival Parade that takes place on Saturday.

Before the Indianapolis 500, Indianapolis Motor Speedway will host another race. As announced Tuesday, the inaugural "Wienie 500" will occur this Friday. The promotion with Oscar Mayer will prompt six Wienermobiles to race on the decorated track.
