Once we get past 11am, the chances for strong downpours and storms will roll through the area. This will be thanks to the cold front and will quickly drop temperatures as we move through the early afternoon.
The severe weather threat is out of the way and the Mid-Ohio Valley will get some quiet, but chilly, weather for Sunday.
Severe weather is not expected this evening, but cloud-to-ground lightning will be a concern. Make sure you have the WBRC First Alert Weather app for lightning and precipitation alerts. Remember that when thunder roars, go indoors. Rain will likely continue overnight and move out of central Alabama by 7 a.m. Sunday.
