President Donald Trump and top defense officials are reportedly weighing whether to send ground troops to Iran in order to retrieve the country’s highly enriched uranium.

President Trump threatened Iran’s energy infrastructure on Monday in spite of what he said was “great progress” in talks with officials in Tehran.

Experts say intentionally targeting civilian infrastructure, such as water desalination plants, may constitute a violation of international humanitarian law.
