Vice President Vance accused the California governor of "egging on" rioters in Los Angeles amid ICE and DHS expanding their operations.

Vice President JD Vance visited Los Angeles on Friday amidst local opposition and ongoing anti-ICE protests. During his visit, he blasted Newsom and LA Mayor Karen Bass, saying they encouraged and egged on protesters and endangered law enforcement.

Gov. Gavin Newsom’s legal team calls President Trump’s arguments for deploying troops to Los Angeles “terrifying.” The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals today is hearing the case.

Gavin Newsom ’s renewed control of the California National Guard didn’t last more than a few hours thanks to a federal appeals court. “The request for an administrative stay is GRANTED,” the court wrote in a short order tonight after the White House and DOJ came up short this afternoon in their bid to maintain a hold on the unrequested and widely seen as unnecessary troop deployment.

The ruling means control of the California National Guard will stay in federal hands as the lawsuit continues to unfold.
