2024 Bands of America Grand National Championships kicks off Thursday in Indianapolis
Earlier this season, at the 2024 BOA Super Regional, Avon took first and Carmel second. Both bands competed Nov. 9 in the Indiana State School Music Association's state finals. Again, Avon placed first, and Carmel was second. Here's a look at what's going on.

Bob Jones High School Band to take on the national stage
The Bob Jones High School Marching band will attend the Bands of America Grand National Championship in Indianapolis, Indiana for the first time in school history. They are also the only band in Alabama competing this year. Their show is called “Mama Always Said” in dedication to the 30th anniversary of Forrest Gump - famously set in Alabama.
