CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Two people are fighting for their lives following a shooting in north Charlotte. It happened around 5:30 Friday evening on Stroud Park Court. MEDIC says both people who were hurt were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Their names have not been released.

A 17-year-old named Victor Ramirez Jr. was shot and killed in Charlotte, continuing a local spate of violence.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police homicide unit is investigating three shooting incidents that happened over the past two days, with at least two people dead. The most recent shooting took place Sunday, May 18, late afternoon in the 1200 block of Spring Street, CMPD said in an alert on X.
