The fire on Mount Diablo burned about five acres, according to officials. An all-clear from the Contra Costa County community warning system went out just after 1:30 p.m. Monday after it had been in effect for residents between Blackhawk Road and Green Valley Trail in Diablo.

Pass Fire initially started today at 5:35 p.m. in Contra Costa County, California. It has burned five acres of private land after being active for less than an hour, an increase of five acres since the last update. Currently, there is no information on the containment of the fire and the cause of it has yet to be determined.

Contra Costa County firefighters extinguished a 2-alarm vegetation fire in Brentwood Thursday afternoon that spread to four homes as fire risk weather comes to parts of the Bay Area. The fire protection district said the blaze — on Sunrise Drive in northern Brentwood — also involved multiple outbuildings and fire crews will stay in the area for an “extensive mop up and overhaul.
