Diana Taurasi made an appearance on the morning show the day after announcing her retirement from the WNBA on Tuesday.

Taurasi, 42, joined the Phoenix Mercury at 22 years old as the first overall pick out of UConn in 2004. She went on to play 20 WNBA seasons, all with the team that drafted her. She helped lead the franchise to WNBA championships in 2007, 2009 and 2014, earning Finals MVP honors in 2009 and 2014.

In addition to her three WNBA championships with the Mercury, Taurasi won six Euroleague championships while playing year-round most of her career. She was the 2009 WNBA MVP and is one of four players to earn WNBA Finals MVP honors more than once (2009, 2014).
