Michael Busch finished a double short of a cycle and the Chicago Cubs opened a nine-game road trip with an 8-3 win over the Washington Nationals on Tuesday night.

I posted this article on how the Cubs were scoring many more runs on the road than at Wrigley Field. Tuesday evening, the Cubs continued that trend by plating eight against the Nationals, more than they’d scored in any game on the recent homestand.

Michael Busch hit his ninth homer of the season, drove in three runs and finished a double shy of the cycle to help the Chicago Cubs to a 8-3 victory over the Washington Nationals on Tuesday night.
