PORTRUSH, Northern Ireland — Tee times in Saturday’s third round of the British Open will be brought forward in an effort to reduce the potential for disruption while an annual loyalist parade takes place the same day in Portrush.

There will be 156 golfers teeing it up in the 153rd Open Championship. Among them will be 16 past champions of the oldest major in men's golf.

The Open, as it is aptly called on this side of the Atlantic Ocean (our American friends continue to call it the British Open—Editor's note), can only be played on courses that exude history and tradition,
