Roma make an offer to buy England winger Jadon Sancho from Manchester United, where he remains excluded from training with the first team.

Roma have made an offer worth £20million (€23.2m, $27.1m) to sign Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho on a permanent transfer. The bulk of the Italian club’s offer is a fixed upfront fee, which is inclusive of add-ons, but there is an acknowledgement that it would be a tricky deal to complete.

The Red Devils have spent close to £200million in the summer transfer window on a new-look attacking trio, having added Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo, Wolverhampton Wanderers hero Matheus Cunha and RB Leipzig sensation Benjamin Sesko to their ranks, as manager Ruben Amorim looks to change the club's poor showings in front of goal last season.
