The Toronto Blue Jays have work to do in terms of developing their young pitchers, sorting out their bench and planning their management style before the 2025 season gets underway.

The Blue Jays lost one of their outfielder to a scary injury suffered as a result of a collision with the outfield wall in a spring training game Tuesday.

This will already be the third time during Spring Training the Tigers have hosted the Phillies at Lakeland this season. Detroit’s first game in Grapefruit League action saw them beat Philadelphia 7-6 on Feb. 22. Then, this past Saturday, the Tigers came away with a 1-0 win over the Phillies.

The first six runs the Toronto Blue Jays and Philadelphia Phillies scored Sunday all came off five homers, but the game devolved into a small-ball marathon by the end.

The Philadelphia Phillies hit the road for Dunedin and a Wednesday Spring Training matchup with the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Phillies still have a few weeks to work out the kinks in their bullpen, scope out a potential new leadoff hitter and round out the end of their bench.
