The Transportation Security Administration will not accept state-issued IDs that are not Real ID compliant as of Wednesday, May 7. What does it mean?

If you still haven’t made a trip to the DMV for your REAL ID, time is running out. Your domestic air travel could be delayed if you don’t have an accepted form of identification at TSA checkpoints next week.

If you need to get a Real ID, remember that it can take 20-30 business days for the physical copy to be mailed to your home. You’ll need the following documents to get a Real ID: A copy of your birth certificate. If you’re married and your name has changed, you’ll also need a copy of your marriage certificate.
