The Chicago Cubs and the Boston Red Sox went into the 2024 season with promising rosters and solid managers in Craig Counsell and Alex Cora respectively.

According to MLB Network insider Jon Paul Morosi, the Cubs have emerged as a “team to watch” in the trade market for Padres right-hander Dylan Cease, who has been involved in trade rumblings for much of the offseason and remains a candidate to be dealt.

The Chicago Cubs are likely not going to land the top free agent remaining on the market according to a new report.
