A 21-year-old man was charged with falsely impersonating a Chicago police officer during anti-ICE protests last Thursday.

SALT LAKE CITY ( KTVX) — A person is dead after they were struck by crossfire during an incident at a “No Kings” protest in downtown Salt Lake City on Saturday, police have confirmed.

A Waukegan man has been charged with attempted murder for shooting and seriously wounding an off-duty police officer in Chicago. He is also facing charges for killing a college student in Gurnee.

Investigation into the incident revealed that 12 people were either taken to or arrived at area hospitals with gunshot wounds.

The assailant, who is still at large, was identified as 57-year-old Vance Boelter by the state's public safety commissioner.

Despite peaceful demonstrations reported in multiple cities, violence flared at some anti-Trump protests over the weekend.
