A woman was killed and another critically injured during an apartment fire in Astoria on the night of Thursday, Jan. 29.

The back-to-back fires come a day after another person died in a separate Brooklyn blaze, this time in Sheepshead Bay. The victim in that case remained unidentified on Friday.
