Typhoon Usagi has swamped rural villages in floods, knocked down power and displaced thousands more people before blowing away from the northern Philippines, which has been pounded by five major storm

The storm made landfall on the island of Luzon. Forecasters warned of torrential rain and landslides in the north of the country.

MANILA - The authorities cleared uprooted trees and debris in the northern Philippines on Nov 8 as Typhoon Yinxing blew out to sea after pounding the coast overnight, ripping roofs from homes and forcing thousands to seek shelter.
