Two wildfires that sparked Saturday in southwestern Colorado have forced several communities across La Plata County to evacuate, according to fire officials.

LA PLATA COUNTY, Colo. — Two wildfires that started Saturday in southwest Colorado, the Elk Horn Fire and the Rim Road Fire, have forced evacuations. An exact map of evacuation and pre-evacuation areas for both fires can be found on the county's website. Residents can also get information by calling 970-385-9700 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.

The Rim Road Fire, located south of Durango, along County Road 318, burns at approximately 112 acres. Evacuations were issued for the area of County Road 318 and Lenyx Lane.
