Ballistic experts say it's too soon to determine how much damage Iran's nuclear facilities sustained in the weekend attack. International concern intensified over the surprise attacks deepening conflict in the Middle East after Israel launched its bombing campaign against Iran earlier this month.

As of this month, the U.S. military had about 40,000 service members in the Middle East, according to a U.S. official.

Israel did not immediately confirm any ceasefire agreement, but Iran’s top diplomat said that his country’s military had halted its “response” at 4 a.m. local time.
