Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has made the damning accusation that Russia is covertly returning its own fallen soldiers to Ukraine, disguised as Ukrainian casualties, to mask the true scale of its battlefield losses.

Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested during an economic forum that the "whole of Ukraine" belongs to his country, even though Russia only controls about a fifth of Ukrainian territory.
