Angel City defender Savy King was treated for a heart abnormality and has been released from the hospital, just more than a week after collapsing during a match.

Angel City FC defender Savy King was released from a Los Angeles hospital on Saturday and was resting at home with her family Sunday as she continues her recovery from heart surgery last Tuesday. King collapsed on the field during a match against the Utah Royals on May 9.

The 20-year-old had a heart abnormality for which she underwent surgery on Tuesday. The league has expressed regret for allowing the match to continue.
