Google is officially launching its AI-powered Search Live feature in the U.S. on Wednesday, which enables mobile users to get real-time information with their voice and phone camera. Previously available as part of Google Search Labs, Search Live is available now in the Google app on iOS and Android.
Starting today, Google says that Search Live is out of beta in the US. English-language users on can now have a real-time exchange with AI Mode inside the Google app, without having to opt in or download any additional applications.
The feature is straightforward in the same way you would use Google Lens to point to something and take a photo. Now there's a new option in which you can select the Search Live feature and activate a live video experience where you show it the world around you and ask questions using your voice.

The new feature can be accessed from a new "Live" icon beneath the search bar in the Google app. It can also be used from Google Lens by selecting the Live option at the bottom of the screen. Camera sharing will be enabled by default here to allow for an instant back-and-forth conversation about whatever is in front of you.
