Sixers Bell Ringer: Hometown hero leads the way in Dallas
The 76ers played their most complementary game of the season in a 123- 108 victory over the Dallas Mavericks. They finished with five players in double-figures, only 11 turnovers and shot 53% from the field.
The 76ers are stacking days with their Big Three. Paul George is expected to remain primarily at small forward after Kelly Oubre Jr. returns from injury. Quentin Grimes is adapting to a different role as players return from injury by providing solid defense and taking open shots.
For over a year, the Sixers' three players inked to max contracts have been discussing the importance of continuity for the sake of building a rhythm. Perhaps this is what they had in mind.

Sixers start 2026 with a well-balanced, impressive win in Dallas
A win to kill all agenda wars, how nice. The Sixers knocked off the Dallas Mavericks 123-108 Thursday night. Tyrese Maxey had another exciting homecoming, leading all scorers with 34 points with 10 assists and eight rebounds going 14-of-24 from the floor.
The 6-foot-8 Oubre is expected to give the Sixers a lift once he returns. He has averaged 16.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.1 steals in his 12 games. In addition to excelling when the ball was moving, he did a solid job of guarding the opposing team’s best perimeter player.
Pakistan's Babar Azam made an unbeaten 58 to guide Sydney Sixers to a six-wicket win over Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League. Chasing 165, Babar hit four fours and one six in his 46-ball knock to get Sixers over the line with five balls to spare.
Hall of Famer Carmelo Anthony, and George's former teammate with the Oklahoma City Thunder, knows how hard that transition can be as he had to make it in his career. With that being said, he has a ton of confidence that George and the Sixers can get the job done:

VJ Edgecombe’s short career is full of milestones. The Sixers think there are more to come.
A game-winner for a rookie is pretty good,” coach Nick Nurse said. “He’s made some big shots and big plays this season. He’s kind of even-keeled all the time."
