A family who escaped a house fire that spread to three other homes in south suburban Blue Island is now searching for their dog Monday morning. Blue Island fire officials said firefighters were called to the 2-alarm fire in the 2000 block of Vermont Street around 4:15 a.m. Police said the home was fully engulfed in flames.
