Britta Curl-Salemme tied it with 16 seconds left and scored at 16:24 of overtime to give the defending champion Minnesota Frost a 2-1 victory over the Ottawa Charge on Thursday night, evening the PWHL championship series at a game apiece.
Rooney and her defensive teammates stood out as Minnesota snagged another tight playoff win, defeating Ottawa in Game 3 of the PWHL Finals.
Two teams means double the excitement. On Thursday, the Frost faced the Ottawa Charge in the PWHL finals. The same night, the Timberwolves faced the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Western Conference finals.
Curl-Salemme has emerged as one of the stars of the PWHL Finals. She has also been booed every time she touches the puck.
