On the Senate floor today, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer calls out Pete Hegseth over his continued incompetence as secretary of defense, lambasting him for canceling shipment of weapons to Ukraine without letting anyone know (not even Trump).

The same guy who cut off air-defense missiles to Ukraine has managed to piss off the British, the Japanese, the Australians, and the New Zealanders.

The move blindsided the State Department, Ukraine, European allies and members of Congress, who demanded an explanation from the Pentagon.

Hegseth paused a shipment of aid to Ukraine to conduct a review of munitions, citing concern of diminished stockpiles— a concern sources told NBC News are unfounded.

Rep. Adam Smith, the ranking member of the House Armed Services Committee, told NBC News the U.S. isn’t facing a worrying shortage of weapons and suggested the decision is part of a broader agenda to cut military aid to the country fighting off Russia’s invasion.
