While Namco's 1985 release Dig Dug II did not catch on like the original, the game's inclusion in retro-collections brought renewed interest in the title. In November 2016, Ryan Sullivan duelled with Pookas and Fygars with some island destruction thrown in for good measure, ending up with a final score of 199,200 points for a rank of first place.
