While soil blocking absolutely isn’t necessarily to starting your own seeds, in my experience it is definitely a worth it due to the results it gives. Soil blocking is fun. I’ve wanted to try this out for a while but found that soil block mixes I could find online used lots of different things, many of which I don’t have. So I’m just trying out using a soil based seed compost - the blocks are potentially too compacted but that’s what I’m testing out.
